Gene
Beecher Lois Beecher , devoted wife of Gene Beecher for 65 years, died May 21, 1997, after a lengthy illness. During her illness, most of Mr. Beecher's time and energy was spent attending to his wife's needs. Opportunities to paint were intermittent. Since her passing, Mr. Beecher has been painting with renewed enthusiasm. In a recent phone conversation he reported, "I don't know what it is...but I can't stop painting." On July 31, 1997, Mr. Beecher celebrated his 88th birthday. |
