Outsider/Self-taught Folk Art
A site by collector David Crotty. Lots of information and ideas here. Mr. Crotty analyzes terminology and "value", advises how to deal with dealers and how dealers should deal with customers, critics several dealers, reviews books, and shows over twenty-five artists, complemented with excellent biographical material. Most of the work are in the Southern Tradition, and many of the artists were personally visited by Mr. Crotty. And if that's not enough, there is an excellent annotated list of relavent links. Provacative.

Folk Art and Outsider Art by Aurence and Biegun
They both paint. Aurence's work, "...revolves around religion, his days at the Monastery, and his tour of Vietnam, which earned him two purple hearts," Biegan paints everything [cats, scenes around her home, etc], and on everthing [canvas, gourds, chairs, walls, etc]. She also writes, makes B&W photographs, and created the website. Visit her award-winning photo site: "Photography for the Soul."
